"Generation Project" - A tourism forecast study about travel behavior in 2020
Consumer behavior in general - and hence also travel behavior - is influenced by consumer age. There will be drastic changes in the age structure of the population in different countries within the next few decades. How will these demographic changes influence travel behavior? IPK International has analyzed this question within the framework of a new forecast study focused on 2020. The outbound travel behavior of the Germans, British, French, Dutch, Italians, Belgians, Spanish, Swedish, Canadians, US-Americans and Russians was forecasted on the basis of the comprehensive World Travel Monitor data pool. Factors considered included the development of the population (age pyramid) as well as economic, social and touristic development scenarios. The results of this forecast study will help you to identify trends and changes in tourism at an early stage, and provide you with the opportunity to set the right course for the future at the right time. The Generation Project is designed as a multi-client study.
